We were very excited to watch the life cycle of a butterfly happen right in our classroom. The children watched the caterpillars eat there way through all their food and increase in size. We then got to observe them build their cocoons and we waited until they finally came out from their homes and practised flying. Release day was so much fun and a couple of children got to hold a butterfly before they fluttered away.
